FINAL PARADE DETAILS…

Hello Parade Participants,

We are super excited about celebrating with you in this years Parade! Below is some information for you, please take the time to read it & let us know ASAP if there is anything you think we need to know;

- The Meeting point for all parade entrants & volunteers is La Bucca, Corballis Shopping Centre.

- This is also the official starting point of the parade (it will commence at 12 noon) & will end up at the GAA where they will have a family fun day with entertainment, food and activities.

- Anyone who has given their time as a volunteer (we still need more so please feel free to come along tomorrow if you can) must meet at 10am at the above meeting point. Richard & Russell will then allocate where they need you.

- All float/ groups entrants also in the Ashbourne Parade must be at the meeting point no later than 10.30am

- All other floats & groups / walking entrants must be at the meeting point no later than 11.00am.

- Your point of contacts here are Russell Bailey & Richard Casey - They will allocate your positions.

- IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU THINK WE NEED TO KNOW LIKE TAKING PART IN THE ASHBOURNE PARADE AFTER OR ENTERING A GROUP & FLOAT, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MADE IT KNOWN TO US PRIOR TO THE PARADE TO ENSURE IT RUNS SMOOTHLY AND IN ORDER.

We would appreciate if you could share this information with as many people as possible to create awareness. We would also like to thank you all for getting involved in this years parade and showing your support for Ratoath. We would like to especially thank Fairyhouse & Ratoath GAA for getting involved as sponsors to help make the parade happen & to all our other sub- sponsors.

ST PATRICKS PARADE 2012

 

Floats: All floats entered are €100 per float - All businesses walking entry is €50 - All schools, groups or clubs walking entry is €25 (please note that any articulated lorry size floats will be €150 & must have 2 people to walk either side with their float for safety reasons). For further safety reasons there are only a maximum of 50 Floats & 25 Walking Entries allowed & these will be allocated on a first come first served basis so be sure to book your place asap. Any floats who are taking part in the Ashbourne parade too afterwards should arrive as early as possible from 10am to ensure we can get you out early in the parade line up & give you time to do both comfortably.

 

Theme: This years parade will have an Olympic / Euro 2012 theme so get those creative hats on! Prize for the best float up for grabs!

 

Signage: There will be several posters put up in & around the village as well as surrounding areas promoting the parade. If you would like to reuse your sign again you can do so for €20. Anyone who would like new signs you can do so for €40 & you must email your logo to us in EPS Format.

 

Main Banner: There is an opportunity to feature your business as the main parade sponsor which will be on the main banner (& other advertising) at the front of the parade for €500. All sub-sponsors are €100 for front of main banner. All logos must be emailed to us in EPS Format.

 

Payments: All payments must be made no later than Friday 24th February as  there will be no facility to take payments on the day. No entry fee, no entry. Payments can be dropped into Kathleen Flood in Blondelles or contact Beth to arrange payment.

 

Volunteers: We need as many volunteers as possible to help out on the day & to ensure health & safety is at the forefront of the celebrations. Volunteers will be needed from 10am – 2pm approx…

 

Parade Route: The parade will officially start from Corballis as like last year at 12 and finish up at the GAA. We are delighted to confirm the GAA will be hosting a big family fun day to continue on the celebrations for everyone! The roads will be closed from 10am – 2pm but access to the ring road will remain open.

 

Bookings / Queries: All bookings for parade entries, signage, sponsorship etc. & all enquiries must go through Valerie (Current Chairperson) on vhpayrollservices@live.ie or Beth on info@ratoathchamber.ie

St Patricks Parade Information Evening…

Ratoath Chamber of Commerce are holding an information evening this Wednesday 1st February @ 7pm in the Community Centre.  This meeting is for everyone so please spread the word. If you are interested in getting involved or would like to know the plans for your Village Parade simply come along & join us.

As always, the parade is never possible without your support.
